What we have achieved together
Last year, Credit Union Bankgave over $2.75 million back to regional communities in the form of sponsorships, donations, grass roots community initiatives and small infrastructure projects. Our hugely successful Community Partnership Program was a significant contributor to this, along with our Sponsorship & Donation Program that gives a boost to local initiatives.

BackTrack
BackTrack provides guidance & education programs for at risk youth, assisting them to develop work-based skills and broaden their employment prospects. Along with providing financial contributions we continue to contribute in-kind support such as use of materials, public relations, graphic design and printing needs. Credit Union BankGrafton to Inverell des Femmes
The Credit Union BankGrafton to Inverell ‘des Femmes’ is a feature race for women as part of the Grafton to Inverell Cycle Classic Program. The event provides a unique opportunity for women to take on Australia’s toughest one day classic of 228km under the same conditions as men.
Suicide Prevention Australia – Mental Health Research Scholarship
Suicide Prevention Australia is the peak body for suicide prevention in Australia, representing over 240 Members and Associates. Regional Australia Bank’s supports a PhD scholarship that undertakes new research into the reasons that can lead some rural and regional Australians to take their own life. The research will inform best practice for hospital-presenting deliberate self-harm, and the project will explore deliberate self-poisoning in regional Australia as well as investigate the impact on self-harm repetition outcomes of innovative services and policies.
Credit Union BankSawtell Chilli Festival
Undoubtedly the major event on the Sawtell calendar, the Credit Union BankSawtell Chilli Festival features over 100 chilli related stalls that offer a variety of foods and flavours from some of Australia’s leading chilli product manufacturers as we all local restaurants and cafés showcasing their own famous cuisine. This small seaside village comes alive during the Festival in July each year and showcases its impressive music scene, with artists that are both local and from further afield.
